University of California San Diego is located adjacent to La Jolla and its beautiful coastline, a popular destination that attracts visitors year-round. As a result, housing options near campus are in high demand. We strongly encourage you to secure your accommodation as early as possible to ensure availability.

***This option allows the participants to stay over the weekend to explore the La Jolla and San Diego area. Daily meals are included for the two extended days.

****This option is for the participants who are also attending the SPIE Optics + Photonics 2026, which will be held at San Diego between August 23-27. Daily meals are included for all the extended days.

* IMPORTANT: On-campus housing for the conference is provided directly by University of California San Diego and is available to registered participants on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Please note that the accommodations are student apartment–style units with limited services; daily housekeeping and hotel-style amenities are not provided. Participants are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and condition of their assigned rooms and common areas throughout their stay and are expected to leave the space in good condition upon checkout. Any damages, excessive cleaning needs, or policy violations may result in additional charges or fines assessed directly to the participant. The conference organizers serve only as facilitators of the housing arrangement and assume no liability for accommodations, personal property, injuries, losses, or other matters arising from the use of university housing facilities.

The Natural Sciences Building (NSB) at UC San Diego will serve as the main venue for PEC 2026.

All conference talks, including the Nottingham Prize competition, will take place in the Auditorium.
The poster session and welcome reception will be held in the Atrium (main lobby) of the building.
The PEC business meeting will be held in Room 3211.
